Finnish airline Finnair had 999,600 passengers in July, 367 percent more than in July last year and 10 percent more than in June.

Covid restrictions and the war in Ukraine are still affecting passenger traffic figures, especially on routes to and from Asia, writes Finnair. However, thanks to robust cargo demand, Finnair was able to fly to most of its Asian destinations.

”"Therefore, the negative impact of airspace closures on Asian passenger traffic, which was already affected by the pandemic, was moderate in July," Finnair writes.

ASK, a measure of capacity, increased by over 200 percent in July, and by 6.7 percent compared to June. Capacity utilization, measured as the passenger load factor, increased by 44 percentage points compared to last year and by 6.8 percentage points compared to June to 86.6 percent.
