Finnish government discusses Russian visa ban

Remove

The Finnish government will meet today to discuss whether Finland should stop granting visas to Russian tourists, reports Yle.

Several EU countries have already made such a decision.

Since the war began in February, many Russians have used Finland as a transit country to get to other EU countries, as there are no longer direct flights between the EU and Russia.

The government is not expected to make any formal decision yet today.
