A Finnish-Swedish woman in her 50s died in a traffic accident during a vacation in Tanzania in June, reports Swedish Yle.
According to the woman's husband, she was hit by a safari vehicle while the couple was standing at a viewpoint adjacent to a crater.
Tanzania Times writes that the driver was arrested and allegedly claimed that the brakes were not working. However, an inspection revealed no defects.
"One second you're taking nice pictures and the next second the person is gone. In a way, I probably still haven't really realized what happened. It's so hard to believe it's true," says the husband.
