Finnish airline Finnair flew 866,900 passengers during the month of October 2022, which is an increase of just over 100 percent compared to the same month the previous year, according to the company's monthly figures.

Sequentially, there were 2.6 percent fewer passengers flown in October, compared to September this year. 

Finnair continues to point to a negative impact from Covid-19, which resulted in travel restrictions in certain countries during the period, particularly in the Asian region. 

Capacity, measured as ASK (available seat kilometers), increased by 71.2 percent compared to October 2021, and increased by 3.6 percent compared to September.

Traffic, measured as revenue per passenger kilometer (RPK), increased by approximately 167 percent compared to October 2021, but decreased by 0.6 percent compared to September.
