Fire following drone attack at Dubai airport

A fire broke out near Dubai International Airport last night, following a drone attack that hit a fuel tank, the Dubai Media Office wrote on X. The incident led to a temporary halt in air traffic.

”Dubai's Civil Defence has successfully brought under control a fire that broke out following a hit on one of the fuel tanks near Dubai International Airport. No one has been injured, the Dubai Media Office stated in a post on X at 02:10 on Monday morning.

Dubai's airports have announced that some flights from Dubai International Airport have been rerouted to Al Maktoum International Airport.
