American Airlines flight 1006 from Colorado Springs to Dallas had to make an emergency landing at Denver airport after the crew reported engine shaking.

Once on the ground and just before the gate, one of the engines caught fire. Pictures show passengers being evacuated onto the wing. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) says they also escaped via slides.

The fire occurred on Friday night, Swedish time, in a Boeing 737-800 plane. At least six people were reportedly taken to hospital.
