Has entered into an agreement to acquire the camping business of Lodgyslife, a leading camping group in Switzerland and Germany. Through the acquisition, First Camp significantly expands its presence in Central Europe and takes an important step towards becoming one of the largest camping and resort players in Europe.
Lodgyslife operates nine popular camping destinations under the CAMPING LODGE and AZUR brands, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, quality and operational efficiency. In recent years, the company has grown significantly in both Switzerland and Germany. Additional campsites are expected to be added soon.
With this acquisition, First Camp will become a group with 87 destinations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany and Switzerland. Operations in Germany and Switzerland will be supported from current offices in Stuttgart and Zug.
Johan Söör, CEO of First Camp, comments:
”We are very pleased to welcome CAMPING LODGE and AZUR to the First Camp family. The acquisition gives us a strong foothold in the DACH region (Germany/Austria/Switzerland), Europe's largest unconsolidated camping market. The region also has even higher organic growth than the Scandinavian camping market. Our relationship with the main owners René Müller and Jan Vyskocil began several years ago and we have found a "perfect match" both culturally and strategically. Together we will be able to create even better guest experiences and accelerate our growth in Europe. As part of the strategic partnership with Lodgyslife, our ambition is to grow further in DACH through acquisitions and agreements with municipalities.”
Following the acquisition, the CAMPING LODGE and AZUR brands will be retained, and the local teams will remain to ensure stability for guests, employees, municipalities and partners.
The acquiring company is outside the First Camp group as defined in the terms of the bond issued in October 2024, and therefore the bondholders of First Camp Group AB are not directly affected by the transaction.
The acquisition is expected to be completed shortly, subject to customary conditions.
