The Swedish Transport Agency has decided to ban flights over central Stockholm on the anniversary of the terrorist attack on Drottninggatan on Saturday, April 7.
During the day, among other things, memorial services will be held where many people will gather to honor the victims. The National Police Operations Department (Noa) and the Stockholm Police Region believe that the flight ban is necessary "in light of the protective value of the event.".
The flight ban applies to all aircraft, including "model aircraft". However, scheduled flights to and from Arlanda or Bromma, police flights, ambulance flights and Swedish military flights are permitted. The ban applies between 11 am and 5 pm.
