Flights between Armenia and Turkey

Remove

Armenia and Turkey have resumed the first commercial flights between the countries in two years, a sign of thawing relations.

The first was operated by Flyone Armenia, and passengers were greeted with chocolates and flowers upon arrival in Istanbul. A Pegasus Airlines plane then took off for Yerevan.

The countries have no diplomatic relations and the land border is closed, but in December special envoys were appointed to normalize relations.
