The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has tightened its travel advice to Israel. On the government website The Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes that "due to the deteriorating security situation" it has decided to tighten the advice for Israel.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs now advises against all non-essential travel to Israel. The advice is in effect until further notice.
The Swedish The embassy in Tel Aviv urges Swedes in Israel are advised to stay near shelters, follow local authorities' recommendations, contact relatives and sign up for the so-called Swedish list.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are approximately 3,000 more or less permanent residents in Israel with connections to Sweden. In Gaza and the West Bank, there are a total of approximately 800 people with Swedish connections.
On Saturday evening, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had no information about injured or dead Swedes in the conflict.
