The decision was made due to "the serious and unpredictable security situation in the wider region, uncertainty about transport options out of Russia and in payment systems in the country," according to a press release from the government.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has previously advised against all travel to the Russian regions of Belgorod, Voronezh and Rostov.
