With a planned start date of September 19th, the wholly owned Lufthansa company Air Dolomiti will operate Ronneby/Kalmar-Frankfurt five days a week. The timetable will, to the greatest extent possible, accommodate both business and private travelers. Flights can be booked from Friday, May 7th.

– A long process that actually started politically back in 2010 has now reached its goal and we can all be happy about the start of an international flight route where we can reach the whole world from Ronneby. A wish that both Ronneby's business community and citizens expressed in the feasibility study we conducted together in Blekinge. Good air connections create the conditions for growth of our business community and open up new opportunities for Blekinge's tourism industry, says Roger Fredriksson, Chairman of the Municipal Board in Ronneby. 

Thanks to Air Dolomiti being part of Lufthansa, it is possible to book so-called ”A to C” tickets where the traveler can book trips ”Ronneby to the World” and check in luggage all the way. Lufthansa, which is part of the Star Alliance, as are SAS, Thai and United, is one of the world's largest airlines and, together with other companies in the Lufthansa Group, operates over 200 destinations. 

– Many of our companies have international business and headquarters in another country. An international flight route has long been a priority request from companies. It provides the conditions for growth and opens up for new establishments. The image of Blekinge as a nook and cranny can now be put aside, says Torbjörn Lind, Head of Business in Ronneby Municipality.
