70,000 18-year-olds will have the chance to travel across Europe this summer. The European Commission's Discover EU project is getting back on track after being put on hold during the pandemic.

35,000 people, born between July 1, 2003 and June 30, 2004, have the opportunity to win a travel card in the first round, which opens on Thursday. A further 35,000 travel cards will be awarded this autumn.

Travel is mainly by train, but travel by bus, ferry and plane can also be included.
