The airports in Lille, Lyon and Toulouse were evacuated on Wednesday after receiving bomb threats, reports French BFMTV.

No planes are currently taking off from the affected airports. Passengers who have just landed are reportedly required to wait on the plane and are not allowed to enter the terminal.

The threats against Lille airport reportedly came in via email this morning.

According to the AFP news agency, six different airports have been evacuated.

At 1 p.m., air traffic resumed at Nice Airport after it was determined that an abandoned piece of luggage was harmless. Half an hour later, Lille Airport announced that their air traffic could also resume.
