Gatwick Airport is set to expand with an investment of £1.11 billion, equivalent to SEK 12.8 billion, over the next five years, the BBC reports.

The investment will see the northern terminal expanded with six additional gates. Gatwick is planning for an increase in passenger numbers. In total, it is expected to have 53 million passengers a year by 2023, which is eight million more than today. Gatwick is the second largest airport in London.
