A computer glitch at Frankfurt's main station has halted all trains to and from the city. The problem is causing disruptions to all German rail traffic, resulting in major delays, public broadcaster ARD reports.
The fault affects all train services in the state of Hesse, including commuter trains. Rail services to and from Frankfurt Airport, the sixth largest in Europe, are also at a standstill.
Frankfurt is one of the largest train hubs in Europe and, according to ARD, has just over 1,200 departures per day.
