The disruptions to air traffic on Monday led to a chaotic evening at Arlanda, but forecasts are good for planes to be able to take off and land as planned during the day.
During the evening the snowfall subsided and many flights were able to take off and land. Since it has not snowed since then during the night, the runways have been cleared of snow and prepared for morning traffic at Arlanda.
”"If the forecasts are correct, we expect some snow to start falling at seven o'clock and last for a couple of hours. But at the moment we don't see it having any major impact on traffic. There may be some minor delays," says David Karlsson at Swedavia's press service.
No major disruptions are expected to air traffic elsewhere in the country during the morning.
”"But if there are delays at an airport, especially if it is at a hub like Arlanda or Bromma, it can have repercussions outside the country," says David Karlsson.
