Göran von Arbin has extensive experience in the hotel industry.

In 1993, he began working at the Vildmarkshotellet in Kolmården, where he remained for 25 years, part of the time as CEO. He has also worked as Sales Manager at Visby Hotell and as a salesperson within Parks and Resorts. He is now employed as Hotel Manager for Furuvik Havshotell, where his assignment will be to set up and launch the new hotel until autumn 2018. After that, Göran will hand over the Hotel Manager role to a permanent Hotel Manager, with recruitment already underway.

– The Parks and Resorts CEO Christer Fogelmarck rang me up before Christmas and asked if there was any interest in running Furuvik's new sea hotel during a start-up period. Even though I had already retired, I couldn't say no to such a fun assignment, says Göran von Arbin.

To create a successful hotel, he particularly emphasises the importance of good service and excellent guest relations.

"An attentive and pleasant reception from the staff is absolutely essential, and I am very happy to see all the positive candidates who have already applied for the seasonal positions at the hotel," says Göran von Arbin.

Furuvik Havshotell, which is currently under construction, will open in May and will be a concept hotel offering overnight stays, park visits, conference facilities and dining experiences. The hotel will accommodate 28 four-bed rooms, a hotel lobby and conference rooms, and will be integrated with Furuvik Havskrog in one of the region's best seaside locations.

Göran von Arbin will be operating the hotel from now and throughout the summer season 2018. The recruitment of a permanent hotel manager to start in autumn 2018 is ongoing.

– I have worked closely with Göran previously within the group and I am very much looking forward to having him here at Furuvik as hotel manager, says Nina Tano, CEO of Furuvik.
