The result is negatively affected by increased fuel costs.
”"Despite the losses in 2022, Gotlandsbolaget has a strong financial position and with it a good ability to invest in the operations and make the major investments required to enable climate-neutral Gotland traffic, invest in energy infrastructure and develop new attractive reasons to visit," writes CEO Håkan Johansson in the report.
The Gotlandsbolaget manager also addresses the reported increases in ticket prices. In a comment, he writes that any lower fuel prices will be reflected in the ticket prices.
”We work long-term and have high ambitions with an expansive strategy and sound finances,” Johansson continues.
He also writes that the company looks forward to the Swedish Transport Administration distributing the procurement documents for Gotland Transport during the next concession period.
