By 2030, Gotlandsbolaget wants to have a new ferry that runs on fossil-free hydrogen gas.
Today, there is no production of fossil-free hydrogen in Sweden, instead the plan is to achieve hydrogen production on Gotland using wind and solar energy.
”"We believe that there are good opportunities to produce as much fossil-free hydrogen as ferry traffic needs here," says Gotlandsbolaget CEO Håkan Johansson.
