Gotland ferry adrift after power outage

Remove

About an hour before arriving in Nynäshamn, the Gotland ferry – with 869 people on board – experienced a power outage.

– We had an incident last night on the ferry Drotten. It was a technical fault, we are investigating the details, says Marcus Risberg, CEO of Destination Gotland.

The power went out at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, and the outage lasted for about half an hour. The ferry was unable to proceed.

– According to the information I received, it all went quite smoothly. The staff provided information through the PA system and by walking around the ship and talking to people, says Marcus Risberg.

The ferry was delayed by one hour. During the next 24 hours, the ferry Drotten will be delayed by up to three hours while the problem is resolved.
