For three decades, Travel + Leisure has been highlighting the best in the travel world, based on readers' own experiences and reviews, in its annual World's Best Awards. Now, the results of this year's awards have been announced, with Grand Hôtel Stockholm being voted Scandinavia's best hotel - an accolade that reflects both the hotel's high quality and strong position among both Swedish and international guests.
Grand Hôtel Stockholm is proud to announce that the hotel has been named Scandinavia's Best Hotel 2025 in the prestigious Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards. The award, which is presented this year for the thirtieth year in a row, is based on votes from nearly 180,000 well-traveled readers worldwide. Grand Hôtel Stockholm has taken first place in the Scandinavia's Best Hotel category, moving up from last year's second place – a recognition that reflects the hotel's long tradition of exceptional hospitality.
Pia Djupmark, CEO of Grand Hôtel Stockholm shares his reflections on the award: “To receive this award from some of the world's most well-traveled and quality-conscious travelers is both incredibly honorable and inspiring. It is a clear testament to the commitment and professional pride that our employees show – every day, all year round. We always strive to create genuine and memorable experiences for our guests, and it feels extra honorable that this is being recognized on an international stage.”
The Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards is one of the world's most respected reader polls in the travel industry. Since its inception 30 years ago, hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic travelers have shared their experiences, making the poll a global benchmark for quality and hospitality. Nearly 180,000 travelers participated in this year's poll, and a total of over 657,000 votes were recorded across more than 8,700 destinations, hotels, cities and other travel players. The hotel category is rated on five core parameters: rooms and facilities, location, service, food and value for money, and an average point system combines these ratings into an overall ranking.
Grand Hôtel Stockholm's first place in this poll is a clear testament to the hotel's high standards of hospitality and quality. The award confirms the hotel's position as a leading player in Scandinavia, where hospitality, elegance and attention to detail have long characterized the guest experience.
