The Grand Tourism Award is awarded to a company or other organization that has contributed to the development of the tourism industry in a new and innovative way. This year the award is being presented for the 30th year in a row!

Nominees for the 2023 Grand Tourism Award

This year's nominees are working purposefully to develop their business in a sustainable way. They also focus on inspiring and spreading knowledge about sustainability, both to other companies and visitors. This can be about everything from climate change, locally produced food, biodiversity to how to develop as an employer for the younger generations, says Katrien Vanhaverbeke, chairwoman of the Foundation for Knowledge Promotion in TourismKatrien Vanhaverbeke, Chairwoman of the Foundation for the Advancement of Knowledge in Tourism.

This year's prize is awarded according to the criteria below.

  • Main criterion: The award winner contributes to new thinking and innovative development of the tourism industry.
  • Sustainability criterion: The award winner methodically and purposefully develops a sustainable business
  • Knowledge criterion: The award winner develops, disseminates and shares new skills and knowledge to strengthen the hospitality industry.
