Greece will reopen to tourism on June 15th to kick-start the economy after the lockdown. International flights to tourist destinations will resume on July 1st.

”WE will win the economic war precisely if we won the health battle,” says Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Greece has managed to keep the death toll at a comparatively low level during the coronavirus pandemic, with only 170 deaths linked to COVID-19 recorded over a two-month period.

The tourism industry will be opened gradually. In a first step, tourists from countries in northern Europe and Bulgaria will be allowed in. Israelis and Cypriots will also be allowed to vacation in Greece.
