Saturday offered bright sunshine and a large turnout as the Stockholm Pride parade once again filled the streets of central Stockholm. Over 50,000 people marched in the parade and nearly 500,000 Stockholmers lined the streets from City Hall all the way to the parade's end – Pride Park at Östermalms IP.

– We celebrate the end of a fantastic Pride week, but it is also a day when we fill the streets of Stockholm to focus on the fact that we are not done yet. The situation in many parts of the world for LGBTQ+ people is deteriorating rapidly, not least for transgender people. Sweden is starting to see rhetoric similar to that in the US and it is a dangerous development, says Fredrik Saweståhl, chairman of Stockholm Pride.

This year, the parade featured over 150 floats that highlighted the year's theme "Celebrating Diversity", highlighted LGBTQ+ policy messages, and spread glitter and joy. Stockholm Pride had a special anniversary float for this year with specially invited profiles who have been important to the development of Stockholm Pride and Swedish LGBTQ+ policy over the past 25 years. The entire festival has been carried out thanks to hundreds of volunteers and enthusiasts who give up their free time to make the Nordic region's largest pride festival possible.

According to the press release.
