Strict restrictions are coming into effect in Seoul, South Korea. Starting Monday, the highest level of restrictions will be introduced for the first time in the city and its surrounding areas.
Gatherings of more than two people are prohibited after 6 p.m. and schools are closed, as are bars and clubs.
Cafes and restaurants are still allowed to remain open, but with restrictions on seating.
The number of new cases during the day on Sunday was 1,100, which was lower than the previous three days, but the highest so far for a Sunday.
