Staff at the tanker company AFS at Heathrow Airport in London have decided to go on strike, writes Reuters.

At a meeting, 93 percent of members of the Unite union voted in favor of an initial 72-hour strike starting on July 21.

The conflict is about pay. According to the union, the staff who ensure the plan gets its tank filled have not received a pay raise in three years.

If the strike cannot be avoided, further disruptions await an already troubled aviation market. The company AFS provides refueling services to more than 70 airlines, including KLM, Air France and American Airlines.
