Elon Musk and Tesla's big goal has been to develop a car that is completely self-driving.

Now he has released a date for when "Robotaxi" will be released:

”"Tesla Robotaxi revealed on 8/8," Musk writes succinctly on X.

As early as 2019, Musk promised that there would be self-driving cars on the roads in 2002, writes CNN.

That promise was broken.

Musk's plan is for the self-driving car to function as a taxi without a driver and be able to earn money for the car owner.
