The shortest and darkest day of the year is almost over.

Tomorrow, it will already be a little, little brighter.

At 22:48, the winter solstice occurred, meaning the sun was at its lowest point in the sky.

From now on, daylight will be extended every day. Initially by a couple of seconds, and then it will gradually increase towards the summer solstice on Midsummer's Eve when the sun is at its highest.
