Ahead of the Easter weekend, many people will be traveling through our airports, which means high travel pressure and periodically longer waiting times than usual. Arrive in good time and as ready to travel as possible. If you are traveling from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, we recommend that you arrive at the airport in good time. During certain times, there may be longer waiting times than usual at Arlanda for check-in and security checks.

– In connection with Easter, when many people want to travel at the same time and there is a high travel pressure during the morning and afternoon, we recommend that our travelers who will travel via Arlanda arrive at the airport in good time. We expect that Wednesday to Friday and Sunday are the most travel-intensive days. During certain times, there may therefore be longer queues than usual at, for example, the security check but also at check-in, which we of course regret. We have terminal attendants and extra entrance attendants on site to help travelers during the Easter weekend. Intensive recruitment work is underway in parallel with us and our partners at the airports to strengthen our operations in order to be able to meet more travelers in the best way after two years of pandemic, says Peter Grunditz, Swedavia's Chief Operating Officer. 

Tips for a smoother trip 

• Arrive in good time and as prepared as possible – join us your airline when your check-in/baggage drop-off opens.
• Check in online if possible.
• Check which travel documents you need for your destination and have them ready for smoother check-in.
• Also check if your airline/destination requires face masks.
• Pack your carry-on luggage correctly to speed up the security process for you and others. Be ready when it's your turn – take off your jacket, pick up your electronic devices and hydration bags and place them separately on the belts. 

For those of you who are traveling from Arlanda

• Arrive at the airport in plenty of time and stay informed about what your airline recommends. If you are checking in luggage, it is important to be there well in advance before check-in opens.
  
• We expect Wednesday to Friday and Sunday are the most travel-intensive days during Easter. During certain times there may therefore be longer waiting times than usual at, for example, security checks and check-in.
• Please note that we are building on and outside Terminal 5. which may affect you when you get to the airport. See our website for the latest information on the renovation.

• International flights depart from both Terminal 5 and Terminal 2. Find out what applies to your particular trip through your airline.
  
• All domestic traffic departs from Terminal 5. This may mean longer distances and longer wait times than you may be used to from other terminals.
