Hotel chain suffers cyber attack

The hotel chain Best Western has been subjected to a cyberattack.

– We are, of course, investigating what has happened, says Sara Hallsund, marketing manager at BWH Hotels, to TV4 News.

According to the channel, customers have had their booking details leaked. 

These details are suspected to have been used in messages that phish for credit card details. 

Among other things, messages have been sent out via Whatsapp, SMS and email, according to the channel. 

Customers in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark have been affected.
