Aircraft manufacturer Boeing reported a loss of $663 million in the fourth quarter. Although demand from the aviation industry has increased sharply since the pandemic, the company has struggled with supply chain delays and labor shortages.

Revenue during the quarter rose 35 percent to $19.98 billion, while adjusted earnings per share were minus $1.75. The market on average expected a profit, and the stock is now falling in pre-market trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
