Hundreds stuck at Arlanda after technical failure

Just over 400 people who were supposed to fly to Mallorca on Saturday morning will have to wait at Arlanda Airport for many hours on Saturday. They will only be able to travel at 10 pm in the evening, Fredrik Henriksson, communications manager at travel company Ving, told TT.

The flight was supposed to start at 7:30 a.m., but the plane that was supposed to be used suffered a technical fault on its way to Sweden from Palma. The same plane has now been repaired and will depart fifteen hours later than scheduled.

Among the 394 passengers are many families with children.

Ving will compensate all passengers with the equivalent of what one day of the trip costs, says Fredrik Henriksson.
