”"Michael" is strengthening further, and is expected to be a four on the five-point hurricane scale when the eye of the storm makes landfall in the northwestern parts of Florida called the Panhandle and Big Bend later today.
The storm then weakens as it moves further northeast – towards the areas in South Carolina, among others, that were recently hit by Hurricane Florence.
”"Hurricane-force winds extend up to 75 kilometers out from the eye," writes the NHC hurricane center.
