The aviation industry body IATA estimates that the world's airlines will have lost over $200 billion during the coronavirus pandemic, Bloomberg News reports.

Domestic and regional travel has begun to recover, but at the same time not much has happened in the global travel routes that are important to many of the companies.

Passenger traffic is expected to reach 40 percent of pre-pandemic levels this year, and 61 percent in 2022.
