Icelandair and Portuguese airline TAP today extended their long-standing partnership and signed a codeshare agreement. The signing took place at TAP’s office at Lisbon Airport.

TAP offers an extensive network of 90 destinations around the world, including Europe, Africa and South America. Icelandair's route network spans around 60 destinations in Europe and North America. Both airlines are known for their stopover concepts, which allow passengers to experience the airlines' home countries en route between destinations, without additional airfares.

The bilateral codeshare partnership will come into effect in the coming weeks and customers of both airlines will be able to connect between the airlines' networks in one ticket with their baggage checked all the way to their final destination.

TAP customers can also benefit from flying from a number of TAP destinations, via Lisbon to Iceland and even on to a number of destinations in our robust network.“
