
The board of directors of the ski tourism company Skistar has appointed Stefan Sjöstrand as new CEO, the company writes in a press release. He will take up his position no later than June 11, 2020.
Stefan Sjöstrand most recently came from a position as commercial and digital manager at the Ikea company Ingka Centres. For the past 13 years, Stefan Sjöstrand has worked in various positions within the Ikea Group, including as commercial manager for the Ikea Group, CEO of Ikea Canada and vice president of Ikea France. Previously, he has also held various CEO and management roles at, among others, OLW, Malaco and Marabou.

He has great consumer understanding, solid experience of working with strong brands and has consistently delivered strong results in his previous roles," says Chairman of the Board Eivor Andersson in the press release.
In May of this year, Skistar's former CEO Mats Årjes resigned after 17 years in the position. Since December 1, Anders Örnulf has been acting CEO. He will return to his role as CFO when Stefan Sjöstrand takes over as CEO, which is due to happen no later than June 11 next year.
