Scandic Oceanhamnen, which has 184 rooms spread over 13 floors with a relaxation area and roof terrace, is located on the first floor with a view of the Öresund. The hotel has been constructed according to the certification, Miljöbyggnad Gold and has undergone testing by the Swan, the official Nordic eco-label.
Scandic Oceanhamnen will become a new landmark for Helsingborg on May 23. At the far end of the pier in the new and climate-smart city district, the hotel is surrounded by a rapidly growing residential and office environment, only a few minutes from the city center. The electrified ferries between Helsingborg and Helsingør arrive and depart next to the hotel. The hotel thus has a strategic location and is an important addition to strengthening Helsingborg as a hub in southern Sweden.
The hotel is Nordic Ecolabelled according to Nordic Ecolabel's new, tough criteria, which include eco-labelled products and chemicals, 100% renewable electricity, the absence of disposable packaging, reduced water use, and a food & beverage offering with a focus on sustainability.
Directly from the quay, guests step into an inviting hotel environment dominated by the miles-long sea view over the Öresund. In the restaurant, the chefs focus on preparing dishes with locally produced seasonal ingredients as a basis and to reduce food waste, half and full portions are prepared from the climate-controlled menu. All wine and beer served in the hotel's bars is organic, mostly on tap.
