Since Friday, over 200,000 new cases of infection have been reported in Spain, according to the country's Health Ministry, which published new figures on Monday evening.

The incidence of cases in Spain over 14 days exceeds 1,200 cases per 100,000 inhabitants – the highest figure since March 2020, reports El País. The most recent peak in infections was measured in January with 900 infections per 100,000 inhabitants.
