The Swedish Transport Administration has been criticized for providing too little information about delayed and cancelled trains and is now presenting an action plan, reports Sveriges Radio Ekot. There are 14 measures in total. Among other things, a new computer system will be developed that calculates how much a train will be delayed, instead of the current manual method.
– This means that you as a traveler get a more accurate time but also that the information comes faster, says Madelene Frödell, responsible for the action plan at the Swedish Transport Administration.
Other measures include making information about replacement buses clearer and ensuring that the information on signs on platforms, for example, is consistent with the train companies' apps.
The measures must be implemented within three years, although some will be done shortly.
