Concerns about developments in the Middle East are now causing a number of major airlines to pause traffic to, among other things, the air hub of Dubai.

French-Dutch Air France–KLM announces that it is pausing its flights from Paris and Amsterdam to Dubai. In KLM's case, this is a decision that applies "until further notice" and also includes destinations such as Riyadh, Dammam as well as flights to Israel.

In addition to these two, the low-cost company Transavia and British Airways have also made the same decision regarding flights to Dubai, whose airport is one of the world's busiest.

Concerns in the region have increased after the US announced that it is now sending warships to the Middle East in light of the large popular protests in Iran. Previously, German Lufthansa announced that it was canceling all flights to Tehran in Iran until March 28.
