Pizza, pasta and gelato continue to win the hearts of Swedes. In a new survey from travel agency Ticket, Italy once again tops the list of countries we most like to travel to for good food. Meanwhile, England stands out – but for completely the wrong reason.

Italian cuisine retains its unchallenged top spot when Swedes list the world's best food countries, according to the latest survey by travel agency Ticket. Greece and Japan climb the list and take their place among the favorites, while England stands out at the other end as the country most people think has the worst food.

– Food often lingers in the memory after a trip, and Italian cuisine, with its classic flavors and local traditions, has a special place in the hearts of Swedes. Italian food is about more than just good food – it's about tradition, quality and enjoying meals together. It's something that many Swedes are drawn to, says Louise Hellgren, Product Manager at Ticket.

But it's not just abroad that people eat well. Sweden comes in fourth place, which shows that appreciation for Swedish cuisine is strong. France, Turkey and Spain follow on the list, while Mexico makes a new entry with its bold flavors. The United States also remains on the list thanks to its varied cuisine with influences from all over the world.
