After being closed for two years during the pandemic, Japan has decided to open its borders to tourists from 98 countries.
However, some restrictions will remain. Among other things, tourists must visit the country as part of a tour group, writes BBC.
Travelers will also be divided into three categories – red, yellow and green – depending on which country they are traveling from. The categories determine whether or not they must quarantine upon entry.
Starting June 10, tourists will be welcomed again.
