After 25 years, Magnus Järrenfors is taking a step aside and is replaced by Jessica Hansson as CEO.
– This is something we have been planning for a long time, but it is only now that we have found a person with exactly the right profile, says Magnus.
After a few tough pandemic years, the company has recovered. Travel is back to 2019 levels. AKI Travel's two owners, Magnus Järrenfors and Mikael Baronowsky, have simultaneously outlined the strategy for the future. A future where Magnus himself chooses to take a step aside.
– Now I have the opportunity to spend all my time on what I do best. For example, projects such as developing statistics and reporting on climate footprints on behalf of our customers, training internally to increase and ensure the quality of the services our customers use us for, and continuing to book and provide advice to our customers.
Experience from the travel industry
The company's direction for the coming years is clear. With a new CEO in place, the company will have the strength needed to execute its ambitious plans. Jessica Hansson has extensive experience in the travel industry.
– I have primarily worked with group and conference travel, events and comprehensive solutions for unique travel experiences. My view is that the future looks favorable for agencies that offer a clear business travel function as well as high-quality group and conference travel, says Jessica.
”My experience will fit well with the company and the plan we have for the coming years.”
West Sweden interesting market
Jessica has spent the last few years in the recruitment industry, but when the offer from AKI Travel appeared, she felt it was an opportunity she couldn't miss.
– My experience will fit well into the company and the plan we have for the coming years. Western Sweden, where we are located in Borås, Gothenburg and Varberg, is a very interesting market to grow in. Even though many choose our digital solutions, we see it as valuable to have a personal approach to ensure our customers' wishes and unique needs are met, concludes Jessica Hansson.
