Johan most recently comes from Friluftsfrämjandet and the role as head of communications, members and IT.
– In recent years, I have developed a brand and a digital presence for Friluftsfrämjandet, after which the organization has turned 30 years of declining membership numbers into steady membership growth of 7 % and growth in booked activities by 25 %. Now I want to help Sweden's experience entrepreneurs achieve corresponding growth, says Johan Ekroth.
Visit North's booking and channel manager is an app for smartphones and computers. It helps an experience entrepreneur get more visitors and simplify their administration by productizing and packaging experience products digitally, and then making them bookable and payable. By then making the products visible and bookable on more marketing channels, more internet-based services for travel booking and inspiration, services where people search for what to do on their trip, the companies can also get more bookings.
– Now the first finished version has met the first experience entrepreneurs and we look forward to real user feedback so that we can continue to develop the product. Johan's background as an experience entrepreneur himself, among other things, we believe contains the right ingredients to both help companies get more guests and to develop the Swedish tourism industry as a whole, says Thomas Brühl, Chairman of the Board of Visit North.
Johan took on the role of CEO on February 1. And he has, among other things, been CEO of a newspaper publisher that published Svenska Outside Magazine, been marketing manager for the outdoor store addnature.com and ran the kitesurfing company Chohoo.
