The role involves commercial and operational responsibility for 16 hotels outside Stockholm's inner city. Kai most recently comes from his own business in leadership and organizational development, as well as the opening of Steam Hotel in Västerås. Kai will take up his new position on August 7, 2018.

The role of District Director entails commercial and operational responsibility for Scandic's 15 hotels outside Stockholm's inner city as well as Scandic Visby, which also belongs to the region.

Kai Pasma has extensive experience in the hotel industry. He has worked in various management positions since 2004, including as Sales Director and Hotel Director at Nordic Choice. His most recent hotel assignment was CEO and Hotel Director of Steam Hotel in Västerås, which opened in 2017. After the opening assignment, he has been a consultant in leadership and organizational development in his own company.

Kai Pasma will take office on August 7, 2018 and succeeds Peter Edelbrock, who after over 25 years at Scandic has chosen to move on outside the company.
