Kajsa Beausang, former editor-in-chief at RES, has been recruited as editor-in-chief of the travel website joyvoy.se. At the same time, the company is launching Joyvoy Studio, a communications agency with an exclusive focus on the travel and hospitality industry.
Joyful Voyages, Joyvoy, focuses on nearcation – trips at home and in the local area.
– It is absolutely the right time to focus on travel in Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea region. In connection with the expected easing of travel restrictions, we see incredible potential for travel in the local area – nearcation. We easily forget all the unique things that are in our vicinity and not least all the fantastic things that can be experienced in the Baltic Sea region. Here we fill a significant gap, says Kajsa Beausang, editor-in-chief at Joyvoy.
Kajsa Beausang most recently came from the position as editor-in-chief of the travel magazine RES and, during her long career in travel journalism, has become a frequently hired lecturer on travel trends and a frequent guest on television and radio as a travel expert.
– We are very happy about the recruitment of Kajsa. She is one of Sweden's most experienced editors-in-chief in travel journalism and she gives Joyvoy a really sharp stamp of quality with her long experience, says Janis Pavuls, CEO of Joyvoy.
Starting a new communications agency for the travel and hospitality industry
Now the company is also taking the opportunity to launch Joyvoy Studio, a communications and content agency, which focuses exclusively on the travel and hospitality industry's needs for services within content production, PR, native advertising and digital marketing.
– The travel and hospitality industry is going through a tough time, but thanks to the vaccine there is now hope for a brighter future. We see a new and increased need from the industry to communicate and market itself for a time beyond pandemics and restrictions, says Janis Pavuls
Joyvoy Studio has already started operations and the response so far has been very good.
– The difference between us and other communication agencies is that we ourselves come from the travel and media industry and therefore have a deeper understanding of the needs. As an industry partner, we are genuinely passionate about helping the industry get back on its feet. In addition, we do not have to rely on someone else's platform for publishing – we already have the region's only editorial inspiration site for local travel where our partners end up in a relevant and inspiring environment, says Janis Pavuls.
