SJ AB's Annual General Meeting on 25 April decided to elect Klas Wåhlberg as a new board member. He replaces Mikael Stöhr, who resigned from his board position at the Annual General Meeting.

The composition of the new board is justified by the owner on the grounds that the board members are deemed to have relevant expertise, experience and background for the company's governance. The elected board is deemed to have an appropriate composition, taking into account the company's operations, development stage and other circumstances, characterised by versatility and breadth in terms of the members' expertise, experience and background. The composition achieves the government's goal of equal gender distribution in accordance with what is stated in the state's ownership policy.
