Korean Air's CEO Cho Yang-Ho has once again been forced to issue a public apology for his daughters, after his second daughter has also embarrassed the company and made headlines worldwide.

Both will immediately leave their positions in the company, promises the embattled father.

Cho Hyun-Min, marketing manager at the South Korean airline, is being investigated by police on suspicion of throwing water in a man's face at a business meeting.

Her older sister Cho Hyun-Ah became infamous when in 2014 she forced one of the company’s planes to return to the gate in New York to eject a flight attendant who had dared to serve her macadamia nuts in a bag instead of a bowl. After serving three months in prison, she returned to the family business and a management post within the airline’s hotel operations.

Father Cho Yang-Ho now promises that the company will ”turn a new leaf” and restart with stronger leadership.
