MTR, which operates Mälartåg, and SJ will cancel several departures in the new timetable from December 11.
The reason is that there is a shortage of train drivers, reports Swedish Radio Echo.
– We are working very hard to get enough train drivers to get back to the level that passengers want, says Joakim Sundh, CEO of MTR Mälardalen.
SJ and MTR state that they have a plan for how they will be able to gradually increase traffic again.
